In celebration of the Annihilation Map Pack Treyarch is going to be having a Game With Developers event tomorrow June 30th 4-8 PM ET (1-5 PM PT) To play with the devs you have to add the following gamertags. It’s all going to be played on the Annihilation Map Pack so make sure you have it downloaded and ready to go before game time. Tonight they are revealing the full details of the Black Ops Multiplayer and i’m here to live blog it. Just refresh the page and try and keep up with me.After the event i’ll break down of all the highlights and my opinions of what they have in store for us with Black Ops.
Here is the first Multiplayer footage from Call Of Duty : Black Ops. The looks aren’t that different from MW2 and that’s to be expected as it’s running on pretty much the same engine. But that also means that it does look good. There are a few interesting points in this trailer.
1. They show a camera that you can set up and see what’s going on in a certain section as you explore. This is going to be a neat perk to help hunt down campers.
2. The 3 kill streak options is a remote controlled car. The car has a built in camera and C4 strapped to it. I can’t wait to check it out. I wonder that the limitations on it are as a 3 kill streak it’s pretty powerful.
3. The 4 kill streaks is an emergency crate.
4. This is probably my favorite weapon i’ve seen so far. A crossbow with explosive arrows. How bad ass is that. I love using my throwing knife to hunt. This is going to be a lot better hunting tool I think.
5. The 5 kill, Killstreak is a guided missile.
6. They also have a knife that is spring loaded. I can’t wait to see how effective that is at pissing people off.
7. One of the things that give me pause is at the 32 sec. mark. The lunge when he back stabs looks very commando like. I really hope that isn’t the case.
8. There will be in game video recording like in Halo 3. I can’t wait to see how comprehensive their tools are.
